ALMOTECH one of the winning companies of UK-Albania Tech Hub

Almotech and five other Albanian companies in the field of technology have managed to hold meetings with investors in the UK after successfully completing the UK-Albania Tech Hub pilot final. This was made possible thanks to a program of the British Embassy in collaboration with the British Council in Tirana in support of new innovators.

New Albanian innovators had the opportunity to develop workshops and meetings with investors, partners, and clients in the UK. The UK-Albania Tech Hub goal is an opportunity to build a sustainable ecological system in the digital sector, as well as a chance for economic growth and boosting the partnership between Albania and Britain.

British Ambassador to Tirana Duncan Norman expressed the desire to support the technological sector in Albania as a contribution to strengthening the relations between the two countries.

Norman: This program is a great opportunity for Albania and Britain. It should also be considered as development potential for businesses and relations between the two countries. Albanian youth are dynamic, speak English, so they should take advantage of such initiatives.

Based on the Israeli model, the British Embassy in collaboration with the British Council in Tirana also implemented this program in Albania in support of the new three-phase technology companies.

23 companies were initially involved in a selection phase, then attended training programs by British technology experts and in the end, only 6 finalist companies had the opportunity to exchange contacts and invite investors to the UK.
